Today we will review the program called CopyToDVD, which among other options allows performing backup to DVD. The software is very user-friendly and there is no need to spend time on learning how to use the interface - it's multilingual and very intuitive. Backup to DVD can be started from Windows shell or from the application menu. Anything can be burned: files, folders, pictures or music. Developers can use CopyToDVD to add a burning feature to their applications. The program operates with all DVD and CD writers and lets you backup files to DVD-R, back up to DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW. Blu-Ray disk formats are also supported. Needless to say, you also can burn CD-R and CD-RW. CopyToDVD is well-integrated into Desktop (XP Autoplay) and works under Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows Me, Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows XP and both 32 bit and 64 bit Windows Vista. The other features include the availability to create .iso files and human prompt voice at completion.

Talking about disadvantages in the context of backup, the program isn't mainly designed for it and it doesn't allow automatically finding backup sources like Outlook messages or Windows registry. The other problem is that there is no backup scheduler in the features list. However, fully automatic backup isn't required by many categories of users and the program can work very well if you want to perform simple backup to DVD, like backing up your photos or music to a DVD once in a while.
